NO CHILD IS SAVED FROM
THE "BAN" ON PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION
Christians should not get so excited about the possible ban on the "partial birth abortion". This is nothing but morsel scraps from the kings table to continue to draw in Christians to the Republican party. Republicans have done nothing for Christians or our country, as of lately. Today it is hard to see any difference between a Republican or Democrat, except for the rhetoric. If the Republicans were really pro-life they could today over-turn Roe-v-Wade in the Congress. Article 3 Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution clearly gives congress the authority to limit and define the courts power, something congress should have done in 1972. It reads "In all the other cases before mentioned, the Supreme Court shall have appellate jurisdiction, both as to law and fact, with such exceptions, and under such regulations as the congress shall make".
Tom Delay has said he will use this power to overturn the appeals court's decision to remove the Pledge of Alligiance from our public schools.
Our congress, which represents our voice have abdicated their duty for many years, the last being giving President George Bush "all the powers he deems necessary to fight terrorism." All without a debate. We have no one to blame but ourselves because we err in not knowing our constitution and holding our public officials accountable.
As I said earlier, do not get excited about this possible new law. Not one baby has been saved. In fact our Republicans signed an amendment which strengthed Roe-v-Wade. By a vote of 52-46, the Senate passed an amendment SA260 reaffirming its suppport for the 1973 Roe -v- Wade. It reads, "It is the sense of the Senate that the decision of the Supreme Court in Roe -v- Wade was appropriate and secures on important constitutional rights; and such a decision should not be overturned". Not only is not one American baby saved, the babies will die a more painful and long drawn out death using the other method called "saline abortion". In this method, salt water is introduced into the womb to burn the baby inside and outside of its little hyper-sensitive body. The baby thrashes in pain for many hours before dying. Then labor is induced. Luckily some babies are born alive, and in this land of the free we finally have laws to protect this baby born alive. I have met one person who survived this murder attempt. She is about 25 now and her name is Gianna.
The reason partial birth abortion was started in the first place, was when Clinton signed executive order allowing "Fetal Tissue Research", and doctors started selling baby parts on the internet and they needed the baby unburned from the saline solution abortion.
The fact that America can go from country to country flexing its moral authority while killing 4,000 of its own innocent daily is beyond me. Maybe that is why some countries hate America.
So Christians and Prolifers do not get too excited ; you were just given a head fake and in your ignorance you have fallen for it.
