Words, Once Spoke
My words, once spoken,
are powerful beyond measure.
My words in anger spoken
Give Satan so much pleasure
With words I can break a heart
And wound a loved one's spirit.
Harsh words, once spoken;
I can't pretend they didn't hear it.
Words fall upon the ear
But there they do not stay.
They sink deep into the heart
Where they never go away.
So choose your words so carefully;
Allow patience to rule your tongue
Then when your words spill out
A beautiful song is sung!
